September 8, 2022 - Hebrews 6:19

“This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” Hebrews 6:19 NLT

Lord, we thank you for the hope that we find in you. You are the living hope. A hope that will never let us down. You are our steadfast anchor. Praise you that you are our strong hope. We are so grateful that you are trustworthy. We will go through storms in this life, and the outcome might look different than we expected or wanted, but if our hope is in you, you will not let us go. Even if we get completely tossed around in the waves, we can trust that our anchor will hold. We praise you that our soul can find rest in you even in the midst of the storms. Even when we are surrounded by unknowns we don’t need to worry. We praise you for being our hope.

We praise you for holding us in the palm of your hand. You will carry us through everything we face. We praise you that we can follow you anywhere. When we do that, we can trust that we are in the safest place we could ever be. Whether you lead us from mountain top to mountain top or through the valley of the shadow of death, we don’t have anything to fear or worry about. How amazing it is to have this kind of hope.

We praise you for leading us through the curtain, right into God’s inner sanctuary. You make the way for that to be possible. What a privilege to be able to approach the Almighty and Most Holy God directly! Teach us what that really means. We want to live all our lives in your holy presence. Purify us and lead us in. Teach us how to be at rest in your presence even in the craziest moments of life. Let this be such a witness to the world around us who are living in worry and fear. We praise you that we no longer have to live in that place, because our hope is found in you. We will hold tight to you always and forever.

In Jesus name, amen.
