September 30, 2023 - Isaiah‬ ‭30:20-21

“Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, he will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes. Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.” Isaiah 30:20-21 NLT

Lord, we are so grateful that you are always with us. Even if we go through adversity and suffering, it doesn’t mean that you are not with us. We thank you for the way that you have suffered for us and all the adversity that you faced for us. You understand and you stand with us to help us through. You are faithful and never leave us.

It is amazing how you teach us. Spirit of revelation, open our eyes to see you and our minds to understand your ways. Give us clearer vision and tune our ears in to recognizing your voice.

Lord, we thank you for how to guide us. We don’t have to figure out things by ourselves and hope we make the right choice. You say that you will lead us and make our path clear. You will tell us to go to the right or left. You will close the doors that need to be closed and open the right doors. You will give us peace when we are on the right road. We will have a lack of peace if we are making the wrong choices.

We give you a clear permission to speak into our lives, to lead us, and to teach us. We want to be attentive students, eager to learn all that you have. We submit to you and to what you want to bring into our lives to help us learn. So often where we learn and grow the most is through adversity and suffering. Lord, we are willing to endure what we must. Just walk with us and help us grow.

In Jesus name, amen.
