September 29, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭27:8‬

“My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”” Psalms 27:8 NLT

Yes, Lord, we are coming! We want to talk with you. You are glorious and beautiful. We want to see you in new ways today. Lord, we desire to see your face. We desire to stand in your midst. We desire to touch the hem of your garment. You are our everything. We desire to stand in your presence. We will settle for nothing less than to touch your heart today. We live to know you.

Lord, help us take this from a desire and turn it into a reality today. Show us how to adjust our schedules to make more time for you today. Show us what we need to sacrifice to give you more of our time. Break us out of our normal familiarity and any complacency of settling for just the crumbs. Today we want to feast at your table and dine with you. We enter in and sit down. We want to experience you on deeper levels. We want to be changed by you. Encounter us in a way that leaves us different than how we came. Do what only you can do. We want to look more like you.

Spirit of God, open our eyes to see you. Open our ears to hear your word. Awaken our senses so that we can discern how you are working in and around us. Holy Spirit, we thank you that you desire to show us our Holy God. We thank you for how you are going to do that today. We come before you this morning and declare, “We are here, and we are listening. Talk to us.”
