September 27, 2022 - 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
“And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows. May he, as a result, make your hearts strong, blameless, and holy as you stand before God our Father when our Lord Jesus comes again with all his holy people. Amen.” 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 NLT
Lord, your love is such a beautiful thing. It has radically changed our lives. Even in the hardest of seasons it makes life worth living. The greatest injustice ever is that not everyone has fully experienced your love. We want to do all that we can to help to spread your love. We want to be good ambassadors of your love to everyone we encounter. Please grow your love in us. Teach us how to see and love others like you. Help us to get out of our own “world” and truly see the people around us. Give us a desire to have meaningful interactions with people that allow them to feel loved and valued. We want to fall so deeply in love with you that your love overflows and oozes out of us onto everyone around us. We want it to naturally flow out of us without even having to work to make it happen.
Lord, allow your love to strengthen our hearts and souls. We want to live lives that are blameless before you. Let our love for you push us to make righteous decisions that are pleasing to you. We can’t wait for the day when you return for us, and we get to stand before you. There will be so much rejoicing! We want to be found holy that day. Lord, we praise you that it is through your forgiveness that we are made holy. We want to be quick to run to you when we sin, allowing you to clean us up and make things with us right again. If we need to ask others to forgive us, help us always choose to take the humble road and ask. Please grow us into loving and holy followers of you that represent you so well to the world around us. For you are worthy.
