September 24, 2023 - 1 Peter 1:18-19
“For you know that your lives were ransomed once and for all from the empty and futile way of life handed down from generation to generation. It was not a ransom payment of silver and gold, which eventually perishes, but the precious blood of Christ—who like a spotless, unblemished lamb was sacrificed for us.” 1 Peter 1:18-19 TPT
Lord, we thank you so much for the sacrifice you made for us. What you gave up coming to earth and serving us is something we can’t comprehend here on earth. Then you chose to lay down your life and die for each of us. You were perfect. You didn’t deserve the punishment and death you received. But you chose it, so that we could be set free. What an amazing sacrifice.
Saying thank you just isn’t enough. We commit to spending all of eternity worshiping you for the gift you have given us. We are so grateful for how you have ransomed us and taken us back from the enemy’s control. He no longer has a right to our lives. We praise you that we no longer need to live in emptiness and our lives no longer have to be fruitless. You have given each of us unending love and a purpose.
Lord, we thank you that the price you paid for us is for one and for all. It doesn’t expire, perish, or run out. Your blood lasts for eternity. It fully covers everything. There is nothing too big for it to wash away. What has been washed in your blood, is forgiven and forgotten. It is wiped away and purity is left in its place. How wonderful! Lord, again we commit to giving our lives to you as a grateful gift back to you for this wonderful gift you have given us. We praise your glorious name, forever and ever!
In Jesus name, amen.
