September 2, 2022 - Deuteronomy 2:7
“For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.” Deuteronomy 2:7 NLT
Lord, your love for us is remarkable. I am constantly blown away by how you care for us. And that is only the ways that I am aware of. I think when we get to Heaven and can fully see how your hand has been on our lives, it will be way more than we would have ever believed. You are constantly pouring your blessings over our lives in big and little ways. Open our eyes to see your blessings. Help us not overlook or take for granted the blessings in life that might just seem normal to us. We praise you for how you provide for our needs. Thank you for how you watch our every step. You know every detail of our lives. I think of how you led and provided for the Israelites in the desert for 40 years. First off you set them free from slavery through several incredible miracles. You gave them shade by day and fire to keep them warm at night. You provided food from heaven for them to eat each day. You gave them fresh water to drink. You kept their clothes from wearing out. There is nothing you can’t do to take care of us when we are trusting you.
Lord, if we look at our lives and think that we are lacking somewhere, would you change our perspective. We want our wants and desires to line up with your will. Help us learn to want the things that you want for us and be content without more. Open our eyes to any areas in our lives where we are living with a selfish attitude. Help us live a lifestyle of sharing our blessings with others. Let our lifestyle and grateful attitude for all you provide be such a beautiful example to others. We want to help others see the beauty of how you care for and bless them.
