September 18, 2023 - Mark‬ ‭5:25, 27-31

“A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?” His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’”” Mark 5:25, 27-31 NLT

Jesus, you were surrounded by a big crowd pressing in trying to touch you. Probably all of them needing and wanting something from you. But there was something different about her touch. Something about her faith. It got your attention. It activated Heaven. She had faith to believe if she could just touch the hem of your garment she would be healed and she was. There was not conversation, no asking, not even a command was spoken by you, Jesus, to make the healing happen. When she touched your robe, her faith automatically activated the healing power within you without you even having to do anything.

Lord, as we serve you and even touch you, are we moving you and activating heaven? Teach us how to always approach you in a way our touch activates the power of Heaven. Help us increase our faith so we can believe like this woman did.

We want to be people who will press through the crowds to get to you. What is it that crowds you out of our lives? Give us the strength and desire to press through it all to have an encounter with you.

In Jesus name, amen.
