September 16, 2022 -2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
“Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NLT
Lord, we thank you for the gifts that you have given us. Your love is more than we could ever comprehend and so much more than we deserve. Thank you so much for your grace. What an amazing thing that you allow it to cover all our sins and shortcomings. Thank you for the price you paid for us to make that possible. You are such an amazing God. Thank you is just too small of a repayment for the way you love us. Help us learn to love you the way you freely love us. We are so grateful that we will get to spend all eternity in your love and learning to love you the way you deserve. You deserve to be worshiped for all eternity and what a privilege that you have made a way for us to do just that.
Thank you for the way you comfort us. You walk with us through anything and everything that we face in this life. When we need council or advice you are there to give it to us. When we need encouragement, you are our best cheerleader. When we need comfort, you hold us tight and catch our every tear. When our hope is dwindling, we only have to remind ourselves who you are and what we mean to you. We can read in your Word promise after promise and know that we always have hope. We can set our faith in you and trust you to come through for us. That is such a beautiful thing. We can rest assured that you have us safely in your hands. Lord, help us learn to do good and honor you in all that we say and do. You have given us so much; we want to sacrifice our selfishness and anything else you might ask of us for your honor and glory. We praise you that you will help us walk that journey with you!
