September 14, 2023 - Daniel‬ ‭12:3

“Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 NIV

Lord, I love the beautiful image that this verse paints. When I picture Heaven, it is a place of light where shadows do not exist. It is full of color and vibrant life. It is radiant. I am sure that what I imagine is nothing compared to reality. This verse says that we can shine with the vibrant and radiant brightness of heaven. Talk about something standing out beautifully different in our world. We want to shine like Heaven.

Lord, send us the Spirit of revelation to make us wise. Increase our desire to dig in to find the treasures of wisdom. Open our eyes to see and understand the hidden thing. Give us supernatural discernment to know what we cannot know naturally. We want your wisdom to make us shine.

The second half of this verse is also amazing. We want to be like the stars forever and ever. Increase our heart for the lost. Help us learn how to effectively lead others towards you and righteousness. Show us how to challenge our friends, family, and acquaintances to live righteous lives. Forgive us for the times when we allow fear of man to keep us from speaking up. Increase our courage to challenge people, in a loving manner, towards righteousness. Give us wisdom on how to do it in a way that it will be understood and received. Show us how to walk in such a humble and loving way.

Thank you for how you are growing us in both areas, and we can expect to see more brightness in our lives. Thank you that it is a brightness that cannot be extinguished. Let us shine, Lord!
