September 14, 2022 - Isaiah 40:3-5
“Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the LORD! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God! Fill in the valleys, and level the mountains and hills. Straighten the curves, and smooth out the rough places. Then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all people will see it together. The LORD has spoken!”” Isaiah 40:3-5 NLT
Lord, let us listen to this declaration and take it to heart. We want to see you revealed again on this earth in greater ways than has ever been seen before. You have called us all to the task laid out in these verses. Help us rise to this call. We want to clear the way for you. This must start in our own lives. Please show us where we have either put up roadblocks in our own lives or allowed roadblocks that were created by others or circumstances around us, to remain in our lives. We don’t want to allow anything to stay in our lives that will hinder your presence or movement in our lives. Show us how to remove anything that holds you back. We want to clear the path for you in our lives. We want to fully make you Lord over our lives. You have full reign in us. Move like you want to move. Use us like you want to use us.
Make straight any crooked ways in us. Align everything in us with your ways. Make our lives straight and remove the rough places. Do whatever you need to do to purify us for your glory. We want our lives to be like a polished mirror free of blemishes, that can easily reflect a pure image of you into the world around us. Until you return again, use our lives to reveal yourself to the world around us. Lord, you said that once your name has been preached to the whole world you will return. We want to prepare the way for you. We want to do all that we can to show those who don’t know you who you are and bring the lost to you. All for your glory!
