September 10, 2023 - John‬ ‭15:5

““Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NLT

Lord, we want to be fruitful people. We want to have so much of your fruit to offer the world around us. Let us be known by our fruit. Jesus, help us stay fully connected to the vine. We want to pull all the nutrients out of the vine that we need to grow strong. We want to be healthy and strong enough to produce and maintain a maximum amount of fruit. Continue to grow us.

Lord, it is true that apart from you we can produce nothing. We never want to separate ourselves from you. Show us any areas in our lives that are doing just that. Help us prune out any sin or behaviors not pleasing to you. We don’t want anything to keep us from taking in all you have for us. When you do prune us, help us to not just see what we are losing, but see beyond the pain to see what we will gain.

Holy Spirit, help us learn how to be more fruitful. Show us how to see an abundance of all your fruits in our lives. Help us cultivate any areas of our lives that we are lacking in. Anytime we start to pull away from our source in the vine, please challenge us to press back in so our lives and our fruit don’t suffer.

Thank you that you are here as our gardener to help maintain us and give us what we need to grow big, strong, and fruitful. You are such an amazing gardener. We fully trust you to prune away what needs to be pruned. We submit our lives to you. Have your way and do want you want in us, so we grow the way we need to, to fulfill your purposes for our lives.
