October 9, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭36‬:‭5‬-‭9

“Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.” Psalms 36:5-9 NLT

Lord, how amazing you are! What an amazing privilege it is to serve a God like you. There are no other gods that begin to compare to you. You are All-Mighty, All-Knowing, All-Wise. You created everything and made it all work together. Your greatness is undefeatable. Yet, as powerful as you are, you are also kind, gentle, and loving. You see us and care about us. Your faithfulness to us is unending and so undeserved. We praise you for your righteousness. You are so pure, and your truth is untainted. In a world that is so full of injustice, hurt, lies, and corruption, you are a breath of fresh air and a refreshing spring to our souls.

We praise you for your unfailing love. We praise you for how you shelter and protect us. We praise you for how you care for us and comfort us. We praise you for how you forgive us and bring restoration to the mess we can make of our lives. We praise you that even though pain and destruction find us in this broken world, you never leave us, and you have an amazing way of putting us back together stronger than we were. We praise you for how you fill us with your joy and pour your blessings over our lives. You are our light and the fountain of life. Help us to always draw near to you and give you access to all of who we are. You are all we want and need.
