October 6, 2023 - Psalms 126:5

“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” Psalms 126:5 NLT

Lord, we thank you that you don’t cause our heartbreaks, but you walk through them with us. We are so grateful for that. We thank you that you hold our hand, bring comfort, and if we allow you, you will bring healing. Help us always to remember that when the pain is overwhelming and the tears don’t want to stop coming.

Lord, when we don’t understand, help us to remain faithful and keep our trust strong in you. Just because you do allow heartbreak to happen, doesn’t mean that you will allow it to completely destroy us. No, you will be with us to help us survive it. You allow it to grow us and prepare us for all that you have in store for us. We thank you for the processes that you take us through. Lord, we thank you for the hard journeys that we have gone through that we can already look back on and see the good that has come from it. Thank you for the places where we can see the reasons behind it and for the places that we still can’t make sense of. We declare that we will trust you even in those places.

Lord, we will stand on the promises of this verse in those times of tears. We will cling to the promise of joy that is to come. Help us remember the principle of sowing and reaping - the more you plant the more you reap. The harder the season, the greater the harvest of joy will be in our life. What a glorious promise. Thank you, Jesus, for the way your kingdom operates. You are so amazing! We will trust you through whatever season that we are walking through.

In Jesus name, amen.
