October 5, 2023 - Philippians‬ ‭4:9

“Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:9 NLT

Jesus, we thank you that you are such an example to us. You have left us with your Words to show us the way. You sent us the Holy Spirit to walk with us and help us. We are never alone. We thank you so much for this fact. When we feel lost and alone, remind us that it isn’t the truth. Help us to cling to and stand on what is the truth.

Help us put into practice what we read about in the Bible. We see your life and the way you lived it. We want to replicate how you loved and served the Father. We want to see the world around us the way you did. We want to not be in such a rush and so caught up in our own stuff that we don’t really see the people around us. You saw the people around you. You took the time to look beyond the surface and reach in and heal the inside hurts, as well as the outside ones. You breathed in the breath of the Father and then breathed out His life into the world around you. Holy Spirit, show us how to live a life that is so close to the Father that we are breathing his breath into us and then out onto those around us.

Lord, this verse promises that when we do this, that you will be with us. That we will live in your peace. We want this in our lives. We claim this promise. We declare peace over our lives today. We declare your presence will surround us. We commit to staying so close that we are breathing in your breath. Help us in all these things, Lord.

In Jesus name, amen.
