October 5, 2022 - Hebrews 13:20-21

“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21 NLT

Lord, we thank you that you are the God of peace. You can calm any storm that we face. Even if you don’t calm the storm, you can calm our spirits and give us peace as we walk through it. Your peace is such a wonderful blessing in our lives. Teach us how to live out our lives through your peace. We don’t want to be people who worry or bring chaos into situations, but we want to bring your peace to everything we face.

Jesus, we praise you for shedding your blood for us. The power that it contains is beyond our comprehension. We thank you for the everlasting covenant that it bought for us. We’re eternally grateful for all that it means for us. We praise you, our all-powerful God, who overcame sin, death, hell, and the grave to restore us to you. You are truly the Great Shepherd. You flawlessly care for us, your sheep, not missing a thing as you watch over us and defend us.

Lord, we ask for you to equip us with everything that we need to accomplish your will. We want to say, “yes” to anything that you ask of us. We praise you because we know that when you ask something of us, you will make a way and provide all that we need to accomplish that task. Grow our faith to always believe that is true. Give us the courage to “step out of the boat” trusting you will make a way, even when it looks to us to be an impossible task. We know that we will never see the impossible happen if we don’t take the step of faith. We commit our lives to you and your will. We long to see our lives please you. All glory to your name forever and ever.

In Jesus name, amen.
