October 31, 2024 - Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭10

“Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.” Colossians 3:10 NLT

Lord, this verse tells us to put on our new nature. It is something that we have to consciously do. It won’t happen by accident. We have to intentionally kill our old nature and decide to walk in your ways. But we praise you that we do not do that alone. We will fail most every time if we try and accomplish this in our own strength. We praise you that you are there and want to help us do this victoriously. We invite your help into our lives. Come and renew us. Show us the places where we need to allow you to change our thinking. Where do our thought patterns line up with the ways of our world and not with your kingdom values? Where has our past and our experiences led us to believe things and think in ways that do not align with your truth? Help us rewire our thought patterns to align with your truth. Help us change any of our actions that don’t reflect you, Jesus.

We want to learn more about you so that we can become more like you. Give us a greater desire to dig into your Word. Reveal more about yourself to us. As we read, open our minds to understand beyond the natural. As we discover more about who you are, show us how we need to change our lives to become more like you. Holy Spirit, help us obey what you are asking of us. Help us lay down anything that you are asking us to surrender. Make us a new person in you. Thank you for helping us with the journey. We are so grateful for you!

In Jesus name, amen.
