October 28, 2024 - Deuteronomy‬ ‭4‬:‭39‬-‭40

“So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.” Deuteronomy 4:39-40 NLT

Lord, we praise you, the God of heaven and earth. There is no other god that begins to compare to your greatness. You are over all. It is remarkable that you allow us to approach you and consider you a friend, but we never want to forget who you are. We want to give you the honor, reverence, and respect you deserve. We want to obey all that you ask of us. Help us to be in your Word and aware of what it says. Show us the places where our lives don’t align with what you have decreed and commanded. Where are the places where we have excused our sin and are not viewing it as a sin? Where have you asked us to do something that we have not obeyed? Give us the grace, courage, and strength to change what needs to change to walk in obedience. Help us. We can’t do it in our own strength, and we praise you that you don’t expect us to. We praise you that you are here to help us every step of the way.

Lord, help us make things right in our lives so we are living in your ways, so that life will be well with us and our children. We want to live blessed and fruitful lives all the days of our lives. We praise you for how you bless those who bless you. We commit to living lives that honor and bless you. For you are worthy of our all.
