October 27, 2024 - Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬-‭10

“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.” Colossians 1:9-10 NLT

Lord, we want to pray this prayer over us. Please give us complete knowledge of your will. Pour out your spiritual wisdom and understanding over us. Help us to stop and listen to you. Open our eyes to hear and our minds to grasp what you want to share with us. Give us your insights to see and understand beyond the natural. Then help us to walk in obedience to what you are telling us. We want to live in a way that always honors and pleases you, our Lord. Show us any areas of our lives where that is not the case and help us change it. Make us people who produce a lot of good fruit. Take us deeper and deeper into the knowledge of knowing you.

Show us the people in our lives that you want us to be investing in. Show us how to be people who draw others deeper into their relationship with you. As we do that, remind us to pray prayers like this over them on a regular basis. We know that our prayers for others really do make an impact in their lives. Help us not to forget or get too busy to take the time to be praying for those you have placed in our lives or on our hearts.

In Jesus name, amen.
