October 26, 2024 - Deuteronomy‬ ‭4‬:‭31

“For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the solemn covenant he made with your ancestors.” Deuteronomy 4:31 NLT

Lord, we praise you for your mercies. You extend your mercy to us every day. You cover our sins time after time with your mercy. Your mercy constantly meets our weaknesses and makes up what we are lacking. When life seems overwhelming, your mercy comes and helps us endure. Oh, how grateful we are that you are a merciful God. We worship you for being a faithful God who will never abandon us. When we walk away from you, you are still there for us. Even if we slam the door in your face, yelling that we want nothing to do with you, you don’t give up on us. You are right there loving us back to you. We praise you for never abandoning us. We praise you that even when we so deserve for you to destroy us, your mercy and grace is there yet again, bringing restoration. Even when we find ourselves walking out the consequences of our actions or when you need to discipline us, you are there with us, pouring out your love and helping us through. Thank you for never forgetting the promises you made to us. Thank you for always keeping your end. Help us to learn to keep our promises to you and to love you like you love us.

In Jesus name, amen.
