October 26, 2023 - Isaiah 46:9-10
“I am God, the only God you’ve had or ever will have— incomparable, irreplaceable— From the very beginning telling you what the ending will be, All along letting you in on what is going to happen, Assuring you, ‘I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll do exactly what I set out to do,’” Isaiah 46:9-10 MSG
Father, we praise you for being the one true God. You alone are worthy of praise and honor. You are the only God we will ever need. There’s nothing that we could need that you can’t supply or make happen. We could never replace you with anything that is better. Nothing comes remotely close to comparing to you.
Lord, it is so wonderful that we have someone on our side, leading and guiding us, who knows the future. You know the end. You know what is to come. There is nothing that you are not prepared for. What a comfort. In you, we can live in a place of rest, even when things don’t make sense to us and when no matter how we try, we can’t figure out how things are going to work out. We can trust that you have it all under control. We don’t need to worry or stress. How refreshing.
Lord, we praise you that your plans always work out. You never fail. You can and will do the impossible for us. You will never leave us or forsake us. Grow our trust in this fact. Help us learn to fully trust you even in the unknown. We never want to let worry, or stress have a place in our life. Teach us how to have rest, peace, and joy in all situations. Holy Spirit, remind us when we start to get anxious that you are in control and we can trust you. We place our lives in your hands yet again. We will sit back and enjoy the ride with you.
