October 25, 2023 - 1 Peter‬ ‭1:8-9

“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 1:8-9 NLT

Lord, thank you for your salvation. What an amazing gift that you have given us. Making a way for us to spend eternity with you is so remarkable. Thank you. What an honor to serve a God who is willing to sacrifice so much for each of us when we could never begin to repay you.

We also thank you for your encouragement. How amazing to have a God that doesn’t just send us out alone to get the job done. You are our biggest cheerleader. You encourage us forward and reward us for the steps that we take. When we stumble or fall, you don’t beat us while we are down. You rejoice in the steps we took, help us up, and encourage us to keep going.

Lord, maybe at times it might be hard to trust you because we can’t see you, but even though we can’t see you, you make trusting you easy in other ways. You show your faithfulness to us again and again. You are always there for us. We just need to open our eyes and look to see you. Lord, we thank you for the joy that you put within us. Serving you is truly a journey full of joy. Even in the hard times, if we keep our eyes and hearts focused on you, we can still find your joy. Thank you for how faithful you are to us. Thank you for how you help us remain faithful to you. Thank you for how you forgive us when we fail in being faithful to you. You are such an amazing God! We love you!

In Jesus name, amen.
