October 21, 2024 - Deuteronomy‬ ‭2‬:‭7

“For the Lord your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”’” Deuteronomy 2:7 NLT

Lord, we praise you for how you care for us. We praise you for how you pour your blessings out over our lives. Open our eyes to recognize them in our lives. Show us where you are intervening on our behalf, turning things in our favor. Even in our wildernesses when life feels dry and lonely, we can know that you are there with us. You are sustaining us, watching and guiding our every step. You never forsake us. Regardless of the season we know that you are working all things out for our good. We praise you that you make sure that we lack nothing. This might not look to be the case from our eyes, but we can count it to be true.

Just like when the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, you were always with them. They might not have liked the way you provided for their every need, but you did take care of them. Teach us how to see your blessings and appreciate them. We don’t want to get stuck in our wilderness longer than necessary because of our complaining or lack of faith in you. Let us always stand on the truth with a grateful heart. Let us always praise you for all the ways you love and care for us.

In Jesus name, amen.
