October 19, 2024 - Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬

“For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 NLT

Lord, it is so hard for us to remember this fact. The spiritual reality is something that we easily forget because we can’t see it. It is something that often makes humans feel uncomfortable, because we don’t understand it and we can’t control it. It can be easier to try and ignore its existence than face the reality of its existence. Lord, as Christians we have accepted at least part of it as we have accepted the reality of your existence. Help us accept the reality of all the spiritual realm and what it means to us. Give us your understanding of what we can’t see.

Help us understand the authority you have given us, as your children, over the spiritual realms. Show us how to be warriors that are filled with your presence, power, and authority that push back the schemes and attacks of our enemy. Lord, as we are dealing with difficult battles in the physical world, help us to not just see the humans in front of us that we are dealing with in these situations, but give us eyes to see what is going on in the spiritual that is controlling the natural. Teach us how quickly look for the spiritual and to go to war against the evil rulers who are really causing the issues. As we conquer these things in the spiritual realm, the things in the physical realm will also change. Thank you, Lord, for the authority you have given us and for your insight, instructions, and help as we stand against the evil in the world around us.
