October 16, 2023 - Matthew‬ ‭19:26

“Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”” Matthew 19:26 NLT

God, we thank you that you are the God over everything and that nothing is impossible for you. NOTHING. You are the God who raises people from the dead. You are the God who literally splits a sea so your people can walk through on dry ground. You are the God who at your word can create everything. You are the God who destroyed an enemy army of your people without them lifting a finger in defense. You are the God who can heal anything. You break addictions off in an instant. You set a soaking wet altar ablaze with fire from heaven. You bring prodigal sons and daughters home. You deliver tormented souls so they can walk in freedom, life, and joy. You heal broken hearts and restore mental health. You are the God who transformed Saul to Paul in just a moment’s encounter with you. You came to earth born of a virgin. You open prison doors, so your followers can walk straight out. You can fulfill a promise and give Abraham and Sarah a son when she was 90 years old. We praise you because there is NOTHING that is impossible for you.

Lord, it is so easy to read these stories and think of them as stories, but they are so much more than that. These were real people living real lives. These “stories” are things you really did in their lives. Real live miracles that really happened. We thank you that you are not just the miracle working God of the Bible. We praise you that you are still very much in the miracle working business today. Give us the faith to see you give us miraculous stories in our lives.

In Jesus name, amen.
