“For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through our union with him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 TPT
Jesus, we are beyond grateful for the price that you have paid for us. How wondrous! All praise be to you. We thank you that you took on our sin. You didn’t deserve it. You led a sin free life. You are the only person who was sin free and didn’t need the blood of a sacrifice to cover your sins. We thank you for the love that you have for us. You chose to not only come to earth and live like one of us, but you also chose to die in a way that you didn’t deserve. You chose to take the punishment for our every sin, so that we could be set free.
Lord, help us fully understand the freedom you have bought for us. Let us understand how to walk in that freedom. We don’t want to choose to walk in bondage when you have paid such a high price for our freedom. Open our eyes to places where we are still living in bondage. Show us how we can step out of that and walk in the freedom that you have already given us.
We worship you for freedom. We worship you for forgiveness. We worship you for the love that you continually pour out on us. We worship you for taking on the punishment that we deserved. We worship you for the fact that we can now walk in righteousness. We worship you for the fact that we can now walk in intimacy with you. We worship you for the union we can have with you. What joy that brings to us. You are so worthy of all our praise and our lives.
In Jesus name, amen.
