October 13, 2022 - Romans 11:29

“For God’s gifts and his call can never be withdrawn.” Romans 11:29 NLT

Lord, we thank you so much for how you have made us. You created us each individually. How amazing of all the people that you have created throughout history, there are not two of us that are exactly alike. Your creativity is truly remarkable. We thank you that you have thought through every detail of who we are. Teach us how to appreciate that more. Teach us how to learn to like the things about who we are that we don’t care for. We thank you for the giftings and talents that you gave each one of us. Open our eyes to any talents & giftings that you have given us that we have not developed.

Lord, we also thank you that when you have called us to something or gifted us for something that you will not take those back. We can’t mess up bad enough for you to remove our gifts. But knowing that we ask that you hold us accountable for what you have given us. We want to use it for your honor and glory. Help us guard our hearts so that we always walk in our gifts and callings with you and not in our own strength and power. We might be able to fool some people, but we can never fool you. We might be able to do things in our own strength and even see some positive outcomes and change in the world around us, but we can’t sustain ourselves that way. Even when we do see changes as we walk in our own strength, they will never be as great as they could be when we walk with you.

We also ask that you help guard us from others who have giftings and callings that appear to be people after you but are no longer walking on your path. Give us a greater discernment to see and understand when things are not as they appear. Help us not be led astray by people who are charismatic in their giftings but are not in your Spirit. We want to be led by your spirit in all that we do.
