October 1, 2024 - Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭14

“The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.” Ephesians 1:14 NLT

Lord, you are such a wonderful God to us. What an honor it is to be loved and cared for by you. We thank you so much for sending your Holy Spirit down to dwell with us until you return. This is such a magnificent gift. Your Spirit walks with us, guides us, comforts us, gives us wisdom, it is the power within us, and so much more. Jesus, it was the Spirit that allowed you to live a sin free life, to do miracles, that allowed you to have direct access to the Father, that gave you supernatural wisdom and discernment, and more. Your walking with the Holy Spirit was what made you different from every other man. Not only is your Spirit an amazing gift for us, but as this verse says, he is a wonderful guarantee that all that you promised will come to pass. Those of us who have surrendered our life to you and are walking in your spirit will inherit the promises of eternal life and get to spend eternity with you in heaven. You would not have sent us your Holy Spirit until your return if you were not returning.

It is through the power and revelation of your Spirit that we truly have the understanding to worship you and bring you honor through our lives. He enables us to walk in a way that brings you glory. We give you all the praise, all the glory, and all the honor. You are worthy of everything we can give you and so much more. We can’t wait to be standing before you in heaven worshiping you face to face. Holy Spirit, we ask for you to teach us how to truly live a life of worship while here on earth as well.
