October 1, 2022 - Revelation 7:9-12

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. They sang, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.”” Revelation 7:9-12 NLT

Lord, we can’t wait for the day when we get to join with this vast crowd in heaven waving our palm branches and worshiping you. What a marvelous day that will be! How marvelous that we will get to spend all eternity in your presence. How wonderful that there will be people from every nation, tribe, people, and language before your throne worshiping. I can’t wait to witness that. It will be the fulfillment of the ultimate mission that you have given to each of us. Lord, we know that seeing every person choosing to accept the gift of salvation that you give is your greatest desire. Help change our mindset and our goals to really reflect making this dream of yours a reality. Let it truly become our mission to see your name glorified throughout the earth.

Lord, you are so worthy of all honor. Open our minds to just how much this statement is true. Help us adjust our lives so that they are all about glorifying you and not ourselves. We are excited to spend eternity worshiping you, but we want to live our lives in a manner that even now we live truly understanding that all the blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belongs to you.
