November 9, 2023 - 1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:12‬

Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.” 1 Chronicles 29:12 NLT

Lord, open our eyes to see you more clearly. Encounter us in deeper ways and reveal more of yourself to us. Pull down our walls and masks and draw us closer. All the angels and creatures of heaven tremble in your presence. Give us a greater understanding of who you are. Take us deeper in a greater fear of you. We want to be able to honor you in a more appropriate way. Help us understand who you really are so we can understand how to honor and worship you better. Give us a revelation of your greatness and holiness. Help us learn to live our life in a way that always brings glory to your name, because you are worthy of all the glory.

As you give us a greater understanding of your greatness and holiness, we also ask you to balance that by giving a greater understanding of your love and acceptance of us. Where we want to know how to honor you because of your greatness, we also want to know how to approach you as a loved son or daughter. We don’t want to honor you because we feel your greatness demands it. We want to honor you out of our love for you.

We pray that as this verse said that you would give us your strength and make us great in your eyes. Make us into the kind of people who you would choose to give an extra dose of strength and greatness. We lay our lives at your feet today. Reign over our lives. You reign over everything. We give you all the praise and honor. All power and might belong to you. We adore you as the one who is over all things.
