November 30, 2023 - Hebrews 10:22

“let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22 (NAS)

Lord, we thank you that we can draw near to you. How amazing! For God - the creator of everything - to give us access to His presence is such a remarkable blessing. Thank you for this verse that gives us a list of what state our heart and life need to be in to allow us to enter your presence. It is so amazing that not only can we approach you, but you want that so much that you have given us these keys to make that possible.

Help us have a sincere heart. We want to be people who love you with all that we are. We want to be true to you 100% of the time, even when it is hard and costly. We want our love to be true to you.

Help us to live a life that is full of faith. You are a trustworthy God who is always there for us. Your faithfulness to us never ends. Grow our faith in you every day.

Lord, we want to have a clean conscience. Open our eyes to any place that we need to ask forgiveness. We want to be people who always choose to walk humbly and be quick to ask forgiveness when it is needed whether from you or from others. Teach us to live a pure and holy lifestyle, so we don’t need to ask as often. Thank you for the strength that you give us to make the right choices and choose holiness.

Jesus, we thank you that your forgiveness washes us clean and purifies us. We thank you that no matter how messed up and dirty we can get, it is never too dirty for your blood to wash us to a pure white again. Thank you that your blood never runs out on us. We thank you for the price that you paid, so that we can live a pure life.

Holy Spirit, help us always be so quick to keep these things in order in our lives, so we can come before you at any time.
