November 28, 2024 - Psalms 50:14

“Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.” Psalms 50:14-15 NLT

Happy Thanksgiving, our Lord. How wonderful that we have a day that is specifically set aside to focus on all the things we are thankful to you for. We want to take a moment and thank you for the many blessings in our lives (tell him what you are specifically grateful for today). You are so good to us, the list of things we need to thank you for is never ending. How wonderful that we get to spend all eternity in your presence bringing praise to your name. As we focus on all the things we are thankful for, rekindle our passion and gratefulness for you in our lives.

Lord, we also want to ask that you would help us make thankfulness a bigger part of who we are and how we live. Open our eyes to see the many blessings you have put in our lives each day. Even in the hardest and most painful of seasons, help us find and focus on the things that we do have to be thankful for. When we rise in the morning let our praise and gratefulness be on our lips. When we go to bed at night help us to remember to thank you for the specific blessings you have placed in our lives. Show us what it means to make thankfulness our sacrifice to you. Serving you is so much easier when we are purposeful in being thankful. Help us to always keep the vows we made to you. You are worthy of our sacrifices and gratefulness. Lord, we surrender our all to you today. Let our lives be for your glory. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. What an honor it is to be adopted as your children, our Most High God.

In Jesus name, amen.
