November 28, 2022 - Deuteronomy 6:2-3
“These are the commands, decrees, and regulations that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you. You must obey them in the land you are about to enter and occupy, and you and your children and grandchildren must fear the LORD your God as long as you live. If you obey all his decrees and commands, you will enjoy a long life. Listen closely, Israel, and be careful to obey. Then all will go well with you, and you will have many children in the land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, promised you.” Deuteronomy 6:2-3 NLT
Lord, what a beautiful promise. You promised the Israelites that they would prosper and live in an abundance if they obeyed your decrees and commands. We praise you that you long to bless your children. You are not stingy, but the God of abundance. These blessings that you promised the Israelites are available to us as well. We praise you for the countless blessings that you pour over us. If we are not seeing the abundance, show us if we are not living up to the stipulation you put on the promise. Thank you for giving us the Bible that gives us instructions on how to live. We want to live fully in alignment to what you have written in it. Holy Spirit, we invite you to open our minds to comprehend what you are asking of each of us. We come with open hearts and minds. We want to be willing to say, “Yes”, to whatever you ask of us.
Lord, if we are in alignment with what you have asked of us and we still are not seeing an abundance of blessings, open our eyes so we recognize them. Show us if the enemy is holding back our blessings and give us insight on how to bring the needed breakthrough. If it is just a season of waiting on the breakthrough, give us patience to press in and trust you for the fulfillment of this promise. We praise you for always coming through on your promises.
