November 27, 2022 - Psalms 93
“The LORD is king! He is robed in majesty. Indeed, the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Your throne, O LORD, has stood from time immemorial. You yourself are from the everlasting past. The floods have risen up, O LORD. The floods have roared like thunder; the floods have lifted their pounding waves. But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore— the LORD above is mightier than these! Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O LORD, is holy forever and ever.” Psalms 93 NLT
Yes, Lord, you are the King of Kings! You are robed in majesty. We can’t wait for the day we get to bow before you and see you in all your glory. What a marvelous day that will be. We long to see you face to face. We praise you for your strength and might. You have always reigned and will continue to rule forevermore. You are the everlasting God. Lord, we praise you that you don’t change. We can count on you to stand firm. We can count on your character and ways to stay true. We can count on your laws never changing.
Lord, we praise you that nothing can overcome or defeat you. The fiercest of storms can thunder and roar, the largest of tsunamis can roll in with destructive force, but you can silence it all in an instant. You are the Almighty who controls the wind and waves! There is nothing that we will face in our lives that you can’t help us overcome. We praise you for being the God of Peace. Even if you don’t calm the storms, we can have peace that you will carry us through the storms. If we can learn how to keep our trust secure in you and remain at peace through the storms, what a brilliant witness we will be to the world around us. Grow our trust and help us learn how to walk in peace regardless of what is happening in our lives.
