November 2, 2024 - Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬, ‭16‬

“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3:13, 16 NLT

Lord, help us to always remember to make allowance for other’s faults and mistakes like we would want done for us. Help us have patience with others. Help us to pause and ask you to let us see them through your eyes. Give us understanding and help us walk in kindness. We want to be people who assume the best of others and don’t judge. We don’t want to easily take up offence, but easily offer forgiveness. Teach us how to extend forgiveness like you do. You offer it to us again and again, even when we know the action we are choosing to do is hurting you.

Lord, give us your heart for others and let your Spirit fill our lives with the riches of you. Fill us with your wisdom and give us understanding of your ways. Help us teach others to walk in your ways. We want to be people who bring glory to you in everything we do. Let your praises be continuously on our lips and let us live with thankful hearts for all you do for us. You are an amazingly wonderful God. It is an honor to serve you. All praise be to your name!

In Jesus name, amen.
