November 15, 2023 - Hebrews‬ ‭10:24-25

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT

Lord, the enemy is hard at work creating division and disunity all around us. Causing believers to tear each other down. Help the church learn how to come against the spirit of disunity and find unity through your love. Help us learn to find a way to be unified with our brothers and sisters, even if we don’t agree with them on everything.

Open the eyes of the church to see the schemes of the enemy, starting with us. Forgive us for any way we have helped the enemy sow disunity. Show us how to speak your truth through love. Show us when we need to stand strongly and loudly on a topic or when we need to be quiet and love one another, despite our differences. Teach us when we need to address sin and when we need to love despite sin and wait for you to change others’ behaviors.

Help us not to allow fear to cause us to pull back from loving others. Thank you that perfect love casts out fear. Help us see through your eyes of love. Show us how to motivate others through love and encouragement and never by tearing each other down or using fear to manipulate. Put up your hedge of protection around us to guard us from the enemy tactics to use fear and manipulation to control our actions.

Open the church’s eyes to the enemy’s attempts to isolate us and destroy unity. Help us build your church into a strong, beautiful, and unified bride. A church that operates out of love and not fear.
