November 14, 2024 - 1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬-‭12

“But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 NLT

Lord, we praise you for the beautiful gift of your Spirit to walk with us every day. Life is so much better when we allow you to guide our every step and invite you into every aspect of our day. We lean into you and all that you want to do for us. We praise you for the way you reveal yourself to us. Guide us deeper in you. We praise you that you want to reveal to us the very thoughts of God. You want to show us the wonders of things unknown. As we read the Bible, you want to take us deeper than the words and help us understand the true meaning and see God’s heart behind the meaning. You want to reveal to us the secrets it holds. Help us to not just read the Bible to check it off a list of to-dos, but to invite you to take us deeper in every time we sit to read. Open our eyes. Give our mind your understanding. Fill us with your wisdom. As we look at the world around us, give us your insights. As we interact with other people, help us to see them with your eyes and understand what is beyond the natural. Reveal more to us about ourselves. You understand us more than we understand ourselves. Show us the things that are holding us back from all that you have for us. Help us release those things and welcome in all that you have. Holy Spirit, we are so grateful for all you are and all you bring into our lives. Come and do your work in us.
