November 13, 2024 - Psalms‬ ‭43‬:‭3

“Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.” Psalms 43:3 NLT

Yes, Lord, send us your light and your truth. We need more of both in our lives. Send your light to drive out any darkness in us. Light up all the corners of our lives. Don’t allow us to hide anything from you. We invite you to light up everything and lead us to your holiness. We invite your truth into our lives. Show us any place in our lives where are not aligned with your truth. Uproot any lies and misbeliefs in our lives. Help us get to the root of those things and allow you to deal with those places and bring healing. Do what only you can do in our lives. We invite you to uproot, align, and heal any place in us that needs this. We recognize that when you do that it will likely be uncomfortable for us. We will have to deal with things we would likely rather not. We understand that we might have to face the pain. You might need to scrape out infection to bring the needed healing. This will not be easy for us, but we praise you for your gentle hand. We praise you for doing it all with the greatest love possible. You bring the most freeing healing possible. Help us not to fight you and make the process worse, but to hold tight to you and trust you through the process.

Let these processes lead us to your holy mountain. Oh, how we want to come into your presence in deeper ways. How we want to see your face. We want to lay our heads on your chest, at rest in your arms, breathing in the air you breathe out. Draw us in, our Lord. Do your work in us. Clean us up and take us so much deeper in you.

In Jesus name, amen.
