November 11, 2022 - Matthew 7:9-11
“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” Matthew 7:9-11 NLT
Father, you are so wonderfully good to us. To be considered a favored son or daughter by the God-Over-All is such a privilege. Your love for us is more than we can comprehend. We thank you that even though we don’t deserve it and could never earn it, you still freely give it to us. You hold us in the palm of your hand and give us life. You pour out your blessings over us in an abundant way. You are truly the best Father ever.
You give such amazing gifts to your children. I have seen you grant me the desires of my heart so many times. Things that I haven’t even voiced out loud, things I need before I even realize that I need them, you see them, and you supply. We thank you for your giving heart. We thank you for how you take care of us. We thank you for how you see our desires. We thank you that you know what will actually fulfill us and those are the things that you want to provide. We thank you for the times that you provide above and beyond what we need. We thank you for the times, when even when we feel like we are lacking, you sustain us and teach us how to trust you more. We thank you that in every season, you are near and taking care of us. We thank you that even when the enemy wants to convince us otherwise, the truth is that we are your favored children, and you are our loving and caring Father. You are so good to us. We praise you that we are never forgotten or overlooked. You are so amazing to us! How wonderful that we get to praise your name forever more!
In Jesus name, amen.
