November 10, 2024 - 1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭7

“Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:7 NLT

Lord, how wonderful that you give us everything we need. You are such a good God to us. You didn’t go away and leave us here to figure out how to survive until you returned. We praise you for giving us the Holy Spirit to walk with us. You say here that you have given us every spiritual gift that we will need. Help us remember to use those gifts. How often do we struggle to do things in our own strength because we don’t use the giftings that you have given us. Holy Spirit, we want to walk with you every second of our day. Lead our steps and help us learn to walk in the gifts that you have given us.

Lord, we may not see all your gifts at play in us all the time, but when we need a gift, it is there if we ask. Some gifts might come more naturally, but in this verse, you tell us we have every spiritual gift we need. That means that even areas that are weaknesses to us, you will make up the difference in that area when we need it. Holy Spirit, this is only done through you. Teach us how to depend on you and trust you. Teach us how to walk in your strengths and giftings. We praise you for how you work through us and pour your blessings over us. We praise you for how you want to see us walk in success in all we do.
