May 8, 2024 - Psalms 19:1-4

“The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.” Psalms 19:1-4 NLT

Lord, what a beautiful thing that David is declaring here. All of creation is crying out its praises to you. We can see it all around us. We can feel it on our skin as the sun shines on us or the breeze blows. We can hear it when the birds sing or the waves break. We can see it as the stars shine brightly in the night sky. We can see it as the flowers open and display their beauty. We can hear it as the crickets and frogs play their song of praise to you. From the delicate butterfly to the grand galaxies, they are all here to bring glory to your name.

Lord, we want to choose to join in that symphony of praise to you. You gave us the amazing gift of choice to bring our praise to you. You gave us a will and the power to make our own decisions. We proclaim that our decision is to proclaim your praises. Lord, we don’t just want to proclaim your praises with our mouth, but we want every part of our life to bring glory to your name! For you are worthy.

In Jesus name, amen.
