May 8, 2023 - Psalms‬ ‭19:9-10

“Every one of the Lord’s commands is right; following them brings cheer. Nothing he says ever needs to be changed. The rarest treasures of life are found in his truth. Lord, we continue to thank you for your Word. We are so grateful that you love us so much that you gave us something so helpful and precious. Help us learn to understand and value it. Help us make studying and applying it to our lives a priority. Let us take everything you say and live by it - both the easy things and the hard things. We don’t want to add to or ignore anything you have written. If there are things that don’t make sense to us or don’t seem to line up with what we know of you, give us your revelation on it and help us to understand. Align our thinking and our hearts to what is written in your word. Renew our minds to it.

Help us to treasure your words to us. To lock them away deep down in us until they become part of us. Help us memorize them. Help us understand what you truly mean by them. Increase our desire to dig deep into them and search out your revelations. Help us make the Bible a priority in our lives and increase our wisdom because of the time spent in it.

Lord, what a privilege it is to have you give us a book full of your words just for us. Help us not to take it for granted, but to treasure it like the prized possession it is. Help us to study it in a way that we lock it away within us. Show us how to use it the way that you designed us to use it.
