May 6, 2023 - Psalms 33:20-22

“The Lord alone is our radiant hope and we trust in him with all our hearts. His wrap-around presence will strengthen us. As we trust, we rejoice with an uncontained joy flowing from Yahweh! Let your love and steadfast kindness overshadow us continually, for we trust and we wait upon you!” Psalms 33:20-22 TPT

Lord, we thank you so much that you are our hope. And you aren’t just a sliver of hope that we can barely see, but you are radiant. You shine bright making it easy for us to cling to you when we need hope. We can truly trust you in every situation. Today, we ask that you wrap your presence around each of us and strengthen us where our hope is weak.

Please, let our joy in you overflow. Let it be something that we can’t contain or explain as anything other than you. Regardless of what we are facing, how difficult it might be, or impossible it might seem, help us to keep our eyes focused on you, trusting for you to come through. As we learn to trust, help us rest in your peace and joy. Let that overpower any fretting or anxiousness that wants to creep in and take away our hope.

Today, cover each of us with your love and steadfast kindness. Let us rest in its shadow. Teach us how to trust you to the point that we can fully rest in your peace even in the waiting. Give us patience and increase our trust as we wait. We truly can trust you. We don’t have to worry because you love us too much to ever fail us. We praise you that your love for us is more than we can comprehend. You always see us, know our real needs, and have our best interests in all you do. We thank you, Lord, for your goodness and love. You are truly an amazing God, and it is our honor to serve you.

In Jesus name, amen.
