“Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.” Matthew 13:47 NIV
Lord, we thank you that you have caught us up in your net. Thank you that we have had the privilege to be drawn into an encounter with your Lordship. What an honor to surrender our lives to you. So many people die without ever knowing you. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you here on earth and spend eternity worshiping in your presence. Help us to never forget the honor this is. We never want to take for granted our relationship with you. We never want to forget to thank you that we can worship you freely. Never let us take for granted the fact that we can hold a Bible in our hands and freely read your Word. We are so grateful that you have “caught” us and drawn us into your Kingdom.
Help us to never let that honor stop with us. We know that your greatest desire is to see every human come to receive this honor. There are so many people in our world that don’t know you. Lord, you have called us to change that reality. You have asked us to make your name known and become fishers of men. Help us learn to make our lives the net that you use to catch fish. Let us bring your kingdom into the world around us. Show us how to tend our nets and make them strong. Teach us how and where to cast them where the fish are ready to be brought into you. Whether it is a great net loaded down or whether we bring them in one at a time, let us devote our lives to being fishers of men. We want to do our part in giving everyone the opportunity to walk in the privilege of dwelling with you for all eternity. For you are worthy to receive the reward of your sacrifice. You are worthy of us dedicating our lives to see your dreams fulfilled. Let us fill heaven with people from every tribe, nation, and tongue for your glory.
