May 3, 2024 - Psalms 18:6

“But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.” Psalms 18:6 NLT

Lord, we praise you that you are always there for us. Our prayers always reach your ears. You hear deep into our souls and understand the things we can’t even properly express in words. We want to make sure that when we are in distress and life is hard that we turn to you for help. When we seem to forget, remind us that you are for us. You are always with us and want to rescue us. You are our Savior, not just once on the cross, but you want to continue to be our Savior throughout all of life. You will always be our fourth man in the fire. We just need to call on you and have faith that you will come through. We praise you that there is no situation that we can find ourselves in that you cannot rescue us from. Nothing is too complicated for you.

Open our eyes to see you in our situation. Help us to press into you and walk in obedience to whatever you ask of us. When we read the Bible we see so many times when you came through, but it required them to often do things that seemed really weird or ridiculous to them. And sometimes the way you came through wasn’t how they expected or wanted, but often in the end was even better. Help us learn to trust you with every situation for you are our faithful God!

In Jesus name, amen.
