May 29, 2024 - Psalms 17:6-8
“I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray. Show me your unfailing love in wonderful ways. By your mighty power you rescue those who seek refuge from their enemies. Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings.” Psalms 17:6-8 NLT
Lord, how wonderful it is that you are a God that answers our prayers. We know that you hear every word we speak to you. We recognize that you can either answer, “Yes”, “No”, or “Not Yet.” Lord, even if your timing in the answers is different than ours, or the answer looks different than we expected, we can still count on you to be faithful. We praise you for the fact that you listen and answer. We praise you for your faithfulness! We praise you for showing us your unfailing love in wonderful ways. It is marvelous that your love literally never fails. God, you are so good to us. Again and again, and again you pour your love over us. It is unending. You have proven time after time that you will always be there for us. We praise you for your mighty power that can rescue us out of any situation that we find ourselves in. There is never an obstacle too big or too difficult for you to overcome for us. We praise you for being our refuge. Draw us closer and teach us to always run into your refuge anytime that we find ourselves needing safety. Our enemy will do everything in his power to get us running the other way and we ask for you to guard us. Teach us how to recognize his tactics to pull us away from you and help us not fall into his traps. Let us always see our safe place being in the shadow of your wings. Lord, you are so good to us and so worthy of our praise. It is an honor to be loved by you.
