May 24, 2022 - Ephesians 3:16
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.” Ephesians 3:16 NLT
Lord, we thank you so much that you have unlimited resources. You are the source of all resources. How amazing is that? You never run out because they come out of you, and you don’t have an end. We praise you for being the God of resources. We praise you that you are the God of our provision. And we praise you that you are never stingy with your provision to us, but you love to give to us in abundance – pressed down, shaken together, and running over! Praise you for how you love to bless us!
Lord, we also praise you that you are our strength. We ask today that you would empower us. We want more of your power working in and through us. Teach us how to operate within your power on a greater level. We ask that you continue to grow our strength in you in all areas of our lives. Lord, we don’t want to be Christians who have great giftings and power, but don’t have the character, integrity, and relationship with you to use that power in a sustainable and productive way. Grow our inner strength in the hidden places so that it can support accomplishing some great things for you. We want our character and spirit to be strong like the roots of a solid tree. Let them go down deep and spread out wide so that we can support the visible part of the tree even when the storms and droughts of life come. We want to be able to grow large so that we can provide shelter and a lot of life-giving fruit for all those you place around us. We want to bring glory to you in all that we do. To do that, we must learn to live out of your strength and not our own. Praise you, Holy Spirit, that you want to help us learn how to accomplish that successfully.
