May 23, 2024 - Exodus 23:22

“But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you.” Exodus 23:22 NLT

Lord, you gave this word to the Israelites right after you gave Moses the 10 commandments. You gave us a list of instructions and are telling us to obey them. Jesus, we heard you teaching on these things and know that it is more than just a list of do’s and don’ts, it is all about our hearts. We need to have a heart after pleasing you. We need to not settle at the line of don’t do this, seeing how close we can be without crossing it. No, we need to run far from it. We need to go above and beyond, running towards righteousness. That will have us running deeper into our relationship with you. Holy Spirit, lead us in this. Help us follow your instructions and obey. Draw us closer into you.

Lord, we praise you that when we do this you will stand up against our enemies. You will fight for us. We will see you use us to defeat the giants that stand before us. We will take possession of our promised lands. How wonderful you are to us. All praise to your mighty name!
