May 22, 2024 - James 5:16

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” James 5:16 NLT

Lord, there is so much power in confessing our sins. It takes humility and brings into the light what the enemy would love us to keep in darkness. But there is so much freedom that comes from bringing our sins into the light. It breaks the power of shame. It also brings freedom and healing to others when they realize that they are not alone in their sin. There is so much good that comes from confessing to each other, why are we so quick to listen to Satan’s lies to keep us silent. Lord, help us overcome his lies in this area. Give us friends that will be a safe place to share, who won’t excuse our sin, but will challenge us to overcome and grow. Transform us into righteous people, as we walk out confessing our sins and changing our sinful behaviors.

Lord, we pray that you would also give us the boldness we need to pray bold prayers of healing over people. Again, don’t allow Satan’s lies to keep us silent, but give us the faith to set out and believe you for miracles. We praise you that the earnest prayers of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. We want to see those results come from our prayer. We praise you for working in us to make these prayers a reality in our lives. We proclaim that we will walk in righteousness and be people of great faith. We will not be people who give sin any power over our lives by allowing it to hide in the darkness.

In Jesus name, amen.
