May 19, 2022 - Isaiah 11:2
“And the Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.” Isaiah 11:2 NLT
Lord, we praise you that your Spirit rests on us. We are never alone. When we invited you to become Lord of our lives, you took up residence in us. You are always with us. We have access to all of you and thus we will never be found lacking anything that we need. If we need peace, joy, strength, patience, perseverance, wisdom, etc., whatever it is, it can be found in abundance in you. Help us remember to turn to you and ask for what we need when we need it. Nudge us when we forget and try to do things on our own accord.
Lord, today we want to ask that you would pour out more of your Spirit of Knowledge, Wisdom, Counsel, and Understanding over us. We want to walk in these things all the days of our life. Let every decision we make, big or small, be based in these gifts from you. Lord, we realize that even the smallest, seemingly unimportant decisions, can change the course of our lives. It happens to people every day. We want to be led by you in all things, so we are always in the center of your will. We want to accomplish great things for you, not by accident, but because we followed your instructions carefully. Teach us to know your voice and your Spirit’s prompting in our lives. Show us how to dream big dreams with you and then walk in the faith and trust in you we need to see them come true. Help us to never limit what you can do through us by our shortcomings. Convict us strongly when we start to put you inside of our box of limits. Forgive us of those things and help us increase our faith. We know you are with us, and we can trust you to work through us! We praise you that this is not only our longing, but yours too.
