May 17, 2024 - Romans 5:5

“This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:5 CBS

Lord, how wonderful is your hope. It truly does not disappoint us. We praise you for your unending, unconditional, perfect love. We praise you for the amazing gifts that you give us. We praise you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. We praise you that we are not here trying to survive on our own. The Holy Spirit is always right here with us. Please lead and guide our every step. Open our eyes to see you working all around us. Make us more aware of your presence and how you want to fully be involved in our lives. In those moments where we feel alone, remind us of the truth that you are right there with us. In those moments when all hope seems to be lost, remind us of the truth of this verse. Even when circumstances seem impossible, with you there is always hope. You love us too much to ever forget us. Help us to not only stand strong in your hope but help us to spread that hope to others. We never want to keep it to ourselves when so much of the world is desperate for hope. You are the only thing that we can put our hope in that will never disappoint. How can we keep that to ourselves? Increase our desire to declare it to the lost world. Holy Spirit stir the desire to share you inside us until it is a fire shut up in our bones that can’t be contained. Let it overflow out of us so that everyone we encounter has an encounter with you and your hope. All for your glory, our Lord.

In Jesus name, amen.
